This was a truly wonderful final chapter! I loved the beginning with Bass' compassion for Charlie during her nightmare and his attempts to convince her that he would not be just one more person that would leave her! Their passion for each other was so well written and I adored Miles' line about her finding some 'nice boy her own age' when he returned and saw her pregnant - Miles does denial better than anyone else! I will say though my favorite part was the end with Teddy and his father - so perfectly written - B

I did love the pickles, Bass feeding them to Charlie lol! And I so loved that they all ended up together - Bass and Charlie, Miles and Connor...

Dear Lemon, I'm loving this story so, so much! The cave, their surroundings, the world is so vivid, and I love the way Bass and Charlie are finding out about each other, the stories from the past, the war clan lovers (and Charlie's growing awareness of Bass lol!). And Teddy, he's the sort of kid I could imagine in that world - the imaginative, sweet but tough kid, who'd look after an old man's bones... So looking forward to more (hoping you're feeling better really soon too, colds are the pits), a wonderful story! :) Magpie
