I really like the thought of Jake having to take care of the baby, it definitely mixes things up, even though you still are keeping some parts the same, what I'm glad about. Just don't kill his father off, I'm really liking the way you present their relationship here! :) A little tip: for me it feels that some parts are a little bit too fast and undetailed - which is understandable, since they are not too important for the story and basically parts of the episode. Maybe it would be easier to read if you left those parts out or just wrote a little summary for an event of some sort? Glad you put Emily out of our misery right off the bat, and headed Jake in the direction of Heather. Nice to have someone else finally conclude that Jake was adopted. Thanks!
