| Gabby chapter 6 . 3/11 I’ve never left a review before, but I just had to comment to let you know that this is without a doubt my favorite Emma fic—I first read it a good bit ago, but with the new movie out I recently reread the book and had to come back for more! I love getting more of an insight into Knightley’s thoughts/feelings/angst, and I don’t know if you had a particular adaptation in mind, but I think you capture the characters well enough that it works beautifully regardless of which cast your reader is picturing. Well done, and thank you for writing one of my all-time favorite fics :) |

| Animagus-Steph chapter 6 . 4/25/2018 Oh! That was the perfect ending! Saucy banter, teasing and flirting! It ended so well! I love how they both operate under misapprehensions, and that it gives us that tiny twist of sympathy... but knowing it will be alright! Now, I didn't go back and read from the beginning, but we miss Emma's transition of friend to lover in her emotions, I think. It happens very quickly when she assumes he's upset over Jane Fairfax. It does happen quickly in the book, and while this fiction totally (blessedly) disregards Harriet, I think I am missing a little of this growth on Emma's part. This is not a complaint at all, I have just enjoyed this so much. If you ever write another Emma fiction, I will be so happy to read it. This has been expertly done. Congratulations! |
