Thank you so much for this story. It was heart breaking, but at the same time, it makes my heart so full. I love the portrayal of all the characters, love the little scenarios that show just how complex and deep Shikamaru and Ino's relationship is. Great job, lovely piece!

Wow! This is just a beautiful short story. It breaks my heart because love can get a little confusing and sometimes people don't want to take risk or have a hard time figuring out what they truly want. You were able to bring out the complex nature of love and how shikamaru and ino decided to end it. While I would have preferred a fluffy ending I think you were able to connect to canon very well. Thank you for your lovely writing!

Ok you win, I made peace with my forever OTP shikaino not being canon. I love how you portrayed Sai and Ino, I always thought it was so random how they ended up together and I really wanted Ino to be happy, but now I can really see it. I'm satisfied dude thank you. Amazing story.

I can't even begin to phrase how lovely this story was. I enjoyed the ups and downs and the crossing of lines from friendship to romance to back again between them, and that is truly typically how this couple is like. Very in character. I hope there are more gems like this for the ship but reading Shikaino is quite rare nowadays. Your writing and delivery is fantastic.

This is so beautiful omg. I'm not into st though but that not here nor there i can still apreciate it. especially because i wanted a post-canon shikaino fic that DOESN'T have that hint of bitterness from the author or doesn't have "lol we cant bc clans" trope (idk what to call it? regardless it's very annoying) you know? you handled and portrayed the ships with respect and in a IC matter. props tbh.

This. This has got to be one of the best ShikaIno stories I've read. Not only did it show how their dynamic their relationship is as both friends and lovers, the way you ended it was also gorgeous. The writing is flawless, and the emotions are beautifully delivered through your words: the mess of being sorta in love with someone you've known your whole entire life.

The characters are all so spot-on: I love how Shikamaru struggling to understand how he feels, how Ino pretends to be okay about everything, how Sai and Temari are the ones who help them eventually get through all those little struggles. What a lovely read.

This was so beautiful, I've always thought Ino and Shikamaru (pre shippuden) had otp potential before Temari came into the picture, then I just became shikatema trash lol. Sai and Ino are my only other naruto otp, regardless, I love this story. Incredibly well written, your portrayal of Ino is beautiful and realistic, a pleasure to read especially after countless stories that simply depict her as a blonde bimbo (which I firmly believe she is not).

I like how this was ShikaIno then ShikaTem in the ending. I support both ships and you managed to write Shikamaru and Ino's friendship well, even with the hint of romance on the side. Great job!
