Personally, it has been a goal of mine to write something about this context. Like you, I've always wondered if onscreen romance has some semblance of truth despite their insistence. So thank you for writing this!

I appreciate the way you attempted to realistically portray the complexity of their emotions and the uncertainties that result from it. To some extent, the story is believable.

Wow, I gotta say I loved this.. Tortured and sexy kind of wish there was a second part..

Admittedly, I must say I'm so not a Ten-Ten fan, so a little pain on her side didn't bother me one bit..

Kiba is very likable. The fact that Akira seeks comfort in him is quite believable. I could feel his yearning. He just wanted to here those three words. Even if they weren't honest, that would have been enough for him. At least for the moment. Because it's clear she cares for him but there is also someone who she cares for more.

Then their is Neji and Tenten. I often have a Tenten bias. Even though she won the heart of Neji long enough to gain his loyalty. Enough so, that even though his mind strays he fights it. His wavering is still very much clear too her. In way, she seems like she's come to terms with that. And rather then being bitter about it. She's pleading for him to see her the way she sees him.

I definitely feel for her but still not as much as a feel for Kiba. Out of everyone in this fic, i think he's been hurt the most. He'll be left. High and dry

Neji cares for Tenten enough to try and salvage their relationship. Tenten loves him enough, to tolerate his straying feelings because she sees that he's trying. Akira indulges herself in the role with Neji. And uses Kiba for comfort, when she's fully aware of how he feelings. That's why she seeks that in him. I guess

I like Kiba and Akira together. I wouldn't mind reading more fics with them.

This is an amazing first chapter and I'd love to see this continued alongside Welcome Home. I'm already such a big fan of this!
I would prefer NejiAkira but I've been going for them forever.

For modern plots, I do prefer them like this where it begins in a destructive relationships and develops into the real pair from there. I loved the way you wrote this. You did not disappoint.

I rarely read fics with Kiba and I've always had a neutral opinion of him in the series, so Kiba only shines in fics if his role is conveyed well in writing. To me at least. He's written well here. I like him here than in Welcome Home. I feel like he serves a greater purpose for character development.

Anyway, I'd like to see this continued since this is the first time I've read something along this plot line.

**P.S: I've been meaning to review Welcome Home but I've been busy. So I've decided to read it all again once I have time ;) OH and take your time with your writers block and coming back from it. I'd prefer your quality than something you've rushed. I'll read it regardless of how long it takes.

The last part was so heartbreaking! Neji looking for that "taste" or should i ay "Akira" while he is kissing Tenten aww ;(( im an all the way NejiTen fan and this made me experience feels TT-TT please neji! Dont go the other way like my ex! Oh and is this a oneshot? Cause i hope it's not :) i wanna see how it ends. If NejiTen stays together. Or neji goes to the wrong way and leaves tenten(which i hope wont happen! AGAIN TT-TT)
