Epic story with a brilliant blend of comedy, drama and the slightest hint of angst

Absolutely loved this.

Though much goes unsaid between the two, really love their dynamic. Gunsels, quite unsung self and Genesis's cocky confidence.

Genesis taking advantage of Gunsels information, at first to find out if he was a spy and then because the information truly came in handy. Then Kunsel gradually getting his own benefits from his exchanges with Genesis.

The time in wutai was so touching though I was biting my finger nails in concern, right along with Genesis.

The little pranks with the touch me and then the knight's of the round were so fun to read.

The last part where Genesis plans on desertion but doesn't really want to implicate Kunsel when the latter gets missing and then returns with the needed information, was so touching to read. The last part where Kunsel takes off his helmet and gives a face to Genesis's friend is truly the cherry on top.
