So, I was thinking about this, and about how to get out of it...

It would take time and a LOT of work, but somehow, Maddie fakes her death. She blames Vlad entirely, very publicly, and then promises Danny she'll be back for him and "dies". It could be very bloody, or maybe not, but either way, Maddie would have to switch her DNA structure in Vlad's files (ALL of the files, so likely she'd have to get Tucker to help hack all of Vlad's stuff) with whatever body she used to fake her own body.

Then she builds something that can project her holographic image somewhere. (She'd have to be very careful with how long her hair grows and anything else that changes, but I'm thinking she'd be up to the challenge.) The biggest thing they'd have to do is somehow get an ecoplasmic signature strong enough to set off Danny and Vlad's ghost senses and then she talks to Danny about what Vlad did. She can have some sort of 'transporting' thing that she could 'activate' (read, turn off the projection system) whenever Vlad shows up.

Then they let it play on Vlad's mind. Maddie would rather DIE than be with him and away from Jack. (Of course, they'd also have to avoid all of Vlad's little camera flies as well, but yeah.) Then they let him get to a point where his obsession drives him a bit crazy. Meanwhile, Tucker will likely try and get into all of the nanobots in Danny's system. He may have to hack them all one at a time... ugh. Or he could hack into Vlad's system.

Now they could take this really far and end up destroying him physically and literally, or they could end up just out-maneuvering him and getting Danny back... either way, I'm pretty sure Danny gets his 'Dan' side from someone, and it ain't Jack. Sure, Jack can be pretty awesome when he has the right motivation and equipment available, but Maddie seems like she's far more analytical... and I'd like to see her out-maneuver Vlad at his little 'chess' games. ;) Just an idea.

Oh my god I’ve been falling more in love with the mcu since Spider-Man Homecoming came out and this was an amazing idea! I totally agree with Maddie’s mystery family as a great way to start a crossover, considering I’ve seen it used a small amount but never fully thought about it. iirc, some may have done so to start some neat crossover with gravity falls. I’ve been in the mood for some soft adult stark being a good father/guardian figure and that ending warmed my heart ~ also HECK YEAH at the smart Danny headcanon love when the kiddo tinkers with inventions it just— mmm yes danny work them brain cells ;DD

I love this series! I just keep coming back to read; it’s so much fun!

Also, about the names thing: a friend of mine married a ‘Danny’ whose sister is also ‘Danielle’ and whose father is named ‘Daniel’. Freaky and a bit confusing, maybe, but not as uncommon as you’d think.
