Sweet and little sad, but ultimately hopeful. Screwed the world, indeed.

I love their season 11 Christmas. They need to celebrate life sometimes. ALL of the people they have lost would want that for them,

Best Christmas gift ever for Dean. I know that's how Sam felt. Would have been nice to hear those words in an episode. Beautiful,.thanks!
TS chapter 1 . 6/9/2016
Loved it! I love how in the end they are always brothers. Even when the actual writers seem to forget you never do!
KKBELVIS chapter 1 . 5/13/2016
Whaaa!

This is so deeply heartfelt!

The whole setting...the log on TV...the music you chose... Dean's reaction to Sam's five minutes...Cas watching Clarence...LoL...

Just poetically beautiful.

And in my mind this was filmed...ingrained.

Lump in my throat.

Thank you.

Karen

PS my grandpa always said that...'me too.'

Oh, man...missed this with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays and just catching up on some reading, but this was really so touching and heartwarming. Yep...made me cry. Such a wonderful moment.

This was very nice.
It's true that the brothers have seemed to really cut each other to the core more than once over the years in a few ways (and I think the writers have overdone it on some occasions just for "drama" rather than trueness to the brothers) so it's great to see them sort it out in a manner that's touching and believable.
Of course the reason they are able to hurt each other is because they are so bonded and because they love each other so deeply. So there is a responsibility that comes along with that. I think they both get that. Certainly they do now if they did not before...
I have to say I would really like to see Dean do his part and say just a little more than "me too" at some point even if it's difficult for him. This was very good and felt good to read but at the end it seemed to feel just a tad unbalanced. I understand the reason for doing it that way, and I don't suggest that it needs to be different, but I guess it just needs another fic at another time to balance it for me. I hope that makes sense. I enjoyed it.

As usual, you have done a wonderful job with this short story.
Rika chapter 1 . 1/15/2016
Nicely done. You know the boys. It's a good feeling to read something written by someone who knows the boys and values them so much. Too bad you were not a writer for the show for a couple of seasons or half-seasons in the past when the writers seemed to completely forget (or not bother to learn) who these boys are... including who they are to each other.
But moving on...

It would have been a treat to read this on Christmas but it's still very nice to read now:)

Why cant the show give us something like this? it doesnt had to be so warm and nice like this (because this show is actually a shade darker), but still, something better than the 'i lied' solution they give to this particular issue (I'm still bitter and cant get over s9 even when Sam alr amended himself in s10) would be nice.

Nice and warm fic. really warm I want to melt in it. good job bringing the christmas feelings :)

Thanks for sharing this with us - a wonderful Christmas present. The opening lines were a harsh reminder of all we lost in the last few years. :( It was really nice to hear Sam's words to Dean; I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Sam's hurtful words to Dean in "The Purge". What better time than Christmas to let those we care about know our feelings? Love the way you wrote Dean's reaction - exactly how he'd handle it.

Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas season. Best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year! Until next time...
