I loved this chapter and the Fili/Torvi scene! They had been having a rough time recently they definitely needed a sweet moment.

This story is so good it's hard to believe. Fili has always been my favorite character but every decent story that I've ever found only has him as a secondary character. Glad to see Torvi and Fili made up and are back together. I am also glad she decided that she wants to see Ferer brought down and broken as that is the best revenge. That way, he will be made a witness to the Durins doing very well and he will be totally humiliated!
And very interesting Torvi met that Raud and how she seemed to know him and then she remembered why. He attacked her! I am sure Ferer or someone close to him paid him!
And yes, I dont think Fili and Ferin will ever be 'friends', but it is good to see them working together. They are more like allies who are not really fond of each other.
Can't wait for the next update.
