The personality test stuff was actually kinda neat, thanks for including it, it was interesting to learn a bit about how you character build And ah! I figured all the TV Shows you mentioned in this fic were based on real shows, I just thought that you used the ACTUAL names of the shows and I just hadn't heard of any of them xD I must say? Castle? Psych? Soul Eater? You have some great tastes in shows, I highly approve! Anyhoo, it was nice to really see what happened during the infamous "bonfire incident" - I remember it being alluded to a lot in your fic, but I can't recall if it was ever specified or even hinted at what ACTUALLY happened. Either way, it was nice to get the full details this chapter! It's really fun seeing all the teens just doing teen stuff - truth or dare, skinny dipping, everything you expect from a crazy, mixed-up bag o' acne and hormones xD And it was interesting seeing how much Kairi has grown and changed throughout the story by comparing it to this incident that happened to her so much further back, especially seeing it in such stark comparison immediately after the final chapter of the story. Not just how she herself has grown and evolved, but how her relationship with Sora has too. Anyhoo, I think think Kairi had a valid point when she was complaining about being dragged into a double dare basically against her will - I don't think she was being a party pooper or anything, I would have been the exact same way in her shoes, ESPECIALLY if the dare was to SKINNY DIP. Uh-uh, nope, no thank you, check please xD Nams is amazingly sweet for offering to take the bullet for her friend - oh gosh, Nams seems way more of a precious cinnamon roll that needs to be protected at all costs, I wonder if she would have even gone through with the skinny dipping if she had been the one to do the dare? Then again, I get the feeling the dare would have been different if it were Nams xD Kairi's mental string of curse words the whole time was too funny, had me dying a bit x'D Sora really is super sweet through the whole thing too and such a gentleman :3 And him helping her tie her bikini top back on at the end was actually super cute, especially with how awkward they both were about it xD Also, him talking to Selphie about warming up near the bonfire and managing to snag Kairi to go along with him too? Also sweet If only Kairi wasn't too busy hating his guts to notice xD But d'aaaawww, she bought him a (really shitty) hot cocoa - she really does care, as much as she's loathed to admit it xP Even tho these two were in such an awkward, somewhat animosity-filled part of their relationship, it was nice getting to see this lil moment of them just kinda having a semi-normal conversation together And her getting to rant to Sora about Riku was really nice, I think she needed it and him validating some of her points was helpful! Even if she felt awkward after and like she overshared. It was just the first step on the long, wonderful journey she eventually took on your lovely story xD Again, super wonderful job with this whole thing, I'm gonna miss it now that it's officially over and there will be no more new chapters... But like I said, I'm definitely excited to go back and re-read it all at some point and remember all the things I forgot and just enjoy a now complete, cohesive, not to mention amazing story! Thank you for putting all the hard work into writing it and for sharing it and I hope to see more new stories from you in the future!

Oh my gosh, telling yourself "the world is ending tomorrow" is such a great tactic to get yourself to do something you're too nervous to do xD Kairi is a genius, I'll have to remember that one xP Ahhhh, it's nice in what is (technically) the final chapter of your story, getting in one last scene of this lovely Kai and Nams bromance, I just love their friendship so much, it's beautiful T_T Nams is the perfect cheerleader to her bestie and really, we all need that sometimes! Oof, I could feel Kairi's nerves all through this and was on the edge of my seat wondering what Sora would say - even tho I had a pretty good idea it was gonna all work out, Kairi's anxiety was just so contagious xD Oh gosh, when Sora showed up just being his lovable goofball self as ever, it just gave me the warm fuzzies inside Especially when his face lit up at Kairi saying she'd talked to Riku - oh Sora, you precious ball o' sunshine, you xP Also Sokai's interactions are just so cute together - it's interesting thinking how those interactions began way back at the beginning of the story (sooooo looooong agoooo, lol) and how their relationship has evolved and changed and it's really sweet to see where they've ended up by the end of the story here Okay, I snerked out loud at Sora's reaction to Kairi's confession - "Oh. Thanks!" Goddamnit, ya lovable doofus x'D Then when it really sunk in, I loved when he said "I didn't realize you'd tell me like this. Though in hindsight, yeah, you would." it shows even tho he was caught off guard at first, he really does know Kai pretty well at this point and who she is as a person and that warms my heart :3 D'aaaawwwww, the ending was really sweet :3 albeit yes, a bit abrupt xD Not gonna lie, I was hoping there'd be a lil kiss in there somewhere - nothing too big a deal, mind you, maybe just a cute lil peck on the cheek. But I get why ya did it and totes understand like you explained in your AN, Kairi's story is a LOT bigger than just what's going on with Sora and you told her whole story beautifully :3 I loved it all and I'll probably go back and read it all again at some point real soon now that it's all complete and I won't forget parts of the story while waiting in between updates xD Anyhoo, wonderful job completing an amazing story! I'm looking forward to whatever's in the next lil "Extras" chapter, and I'll just say it now (and probably again when I review "Extras" too) that I hope you're still writing and can't wait to see what new stories you have in store for us in the future! :D

Okay, the "Why my life is awesome/why my life sucks" blurb at the beginning of this chapter got a huge snort out of me x'D Sometimes crushes be like that, yo! Ahhhh so the talk with Riku is just a "let's get the closure we never got" talk. Well I coulda guessed that, but the way Kai was spazzing a bit over it last chapter with Nams, I thought there was something ELSE on top of that, like some way she wronged Riku that she needed to make amends for and I was just like "...oh god, what did Kai do?! I can't remember!" xD But yes, just having a closure talk with the Ex can be scary as hell so I get why Kai was spazzing xD Hehe, Riku really does have a "cool and mysterious" way of talking, huh? I don't blame Kai, that would've gotten on my nerves eventually too xD That said, I still find Riku to be a very sweet, lovable and mature guy in this story :3 He's very much like Riku from the games but with your own AU flare added to him! Ah, I'm glad the lil mystery about why he wasn't getting her texts was solved - woulda bugged me if we never found out and his explanation totes makes sense! And this closure talk was really good - it was nice seeing them get a chance to catch up, as well as talk a bit about both Kai's issues and Riku's issues and really get some answers! This was all just really wholesome and lovely and I'm happy these two can really be friends again :3 Hmmm, methinks Riku sees the Sokai spark xD Did EVERYONE realize it before Kai did? ...probably x'D Hehe, it's cute, Kai spelling out her Sora plan to Nams and then demanding to know what's wrong with it xD I don't blame her, I second guess all my plans too! But Nams is really sweet and says all the right things - hell yeah, don't start doubting yourself now, gurl! Just go for it xD Ahhhhh, she's gonna tell Sora tomorrow! Only one chapter left! (plus "Extras", oooooOOOooo, intrigue!) Can't wait to see how it all plays out and how you bring this lovely story to its epic conclusion!

Hehe, Kairi's struggle with coming to grips with the fact that she likes Sora is too funny xD That's definitely me at work when I'm grappling with a non-work related problem - zoning the eff out and people having to shout at me to get my attention xD Poor Nams tho, getting snapped at by Kairi before she realized who it was - Nams took it in good humor at least, she really is the best bestie to ever best! Haha, them trying to figure out what to do while hanging out with no money... the struggle is real dude xD But they seem to be happy to wing it, you can tell it doesn't really matter what they do, they just like being in each others' companies and that's sweet! Oh snap, Kai went there and made it real - she told Nams about her crush! Of course, Nams knew all along - BFFs usually do, huh? I gave an audible snort when Nams pranked her by saying it was Roxas that Kai had a crush on - beware of the sweet ones, they're always the most devious x'D I love Nams so much in this! And I like how she was able to help Kairi talk through her feelings for Sora, which is something Kairi desperately needed right now so she could sort out her confusion! Oh gosh, I can't remember the thing she told Nams about the Riku breakup or the Bonfire Incident (cut me some slack, I read this over a year ago x'D) - ah well, guess I'll figure it out when I read her lil chat with Riku! Hehehe, loved the constant "Embrace the awkwardness! ...as indirectly as possible." - that's also me right there - you write Kairi to be so relatable, it's amazing and so enjoyable to read :3 And her texting adventures were too funny, especially when she had to wrangle Tidus into helping her (tho him still being a lil bummed about his breakup with Selphie was sad :( ). But Sora to the rescue! ...whether she likes it or not xD Huh, since Riku seemed only too happy to meet, wonder what the problem was with Kai texting him - I'm guessing he wasn't even seeing her texts at all for some reason, but still... weird! Anyway, on to the dreaded conversation with (dun dun dun)... THE EX! xD Well done on another fantabulous update!

Oh gosh, it's been a year since my last review, but I'm finally back and excited to see how you ended this story! Super BIG congrats to you by the way for finishing this wonderful lil fic *throws confetti* YAY! Haha, anyway! I do so love each and every one of these Sokai moments :3 Sora is so sweet - he can clearly see something is wrong and even tho he doesn't know what it is, he wants to help Kai out... even when she gets defensive and snaps at him xD it's okay, he's used to this from Kai and knows this is just how she can be sometimes by now xP And even better, she quickly realizes she was lashing out and apologizes - our baby really is growing up, isn't she? Sora really is a good listener too, just letting her vent and asking questions at the right times so she can get it all off her chest, then helping her come up with a solution - and actually a pretty great one too! I think Kai getting a job is just the thing that's needed here! Besides helping in some small way with her family money issues, perhaps getting a job will help Kai grow and mature further! "I... don't... hate Sora anymore...?" hehe it's fun watching her grapple with her ever evolving feelings for the guy. I'm glad the lil chat with her folks about her finding a job went so well too! It's nice seeing her come to accept and be okay with her family situation and know that she's doing the best she can and that's all one can really do sometimes. It was really sweet watching Kai apologize to Nams too - I love how these two can always work things out pretty easily, it shows how close their bond truly is :3 Her thank you to Sora was really cute too! xD But Oh... Em... Gee! Has she really done it? Has she really cracked the code to her tangled emotions regarding Sora? Is she really ready to realize she LIKES him?! Ahhhhh, how exciting, this makes me really happy! xD With this new found self awareness, I can't wait to see what Kai does next xD Awesome work this chapter as always!

I forgot how fun this story is to read! It reminds me of this book I used to read when I was younger. It was about this girl maybe like 11y? And the book was her diary. Kairi kinda reminds me of her :D Also I swear Kairi didn't feel super young when I last read this but now she feels so young? It hasn't been that long has it? Lol :D The way she processes things and handles them reminds me a little how I used to be when I was younger. I dunno it' crazy :D
I'm excited to read through all the other chapters that are up! Also I just love Sora :D How kind and chill he is!

It's interesting watching Kairi process this whole "being broke" thing. We still see hints of the old Kairi that thinks a bit selfishly, not much beyond herself, but at the same time, we also kind of see her growing beyond that. She recognizes that it's dumb to be upset over it and even tho she kinda wants to yell at her parents, she keeps that in check because she understands that her folks are probably going through a rough time like her with all of this too! Kairi's a work in progress, but she seems to be slowly but surely getting there! Ack, that phone call with Nams broke my heart a bit Dx But Nams is such a good egg, I love her :3 even tho Kai snapped at her and it sounded like it upset her, she still recognized that Kairi was going through something and offered to be there for her. Such a good friend! Ha, the lil nostalgic video game moment between Tidus and Kairi was cute xD It's really nice seeing these two in a good place again Tho Kai was a fool for growing out of video games, pffft, is life even worth it anymore? xP Okay, Uncle Sonnen? I absolutely haaaaaaate him. He just came across as very misogynistic, "a woman's place is in the kitchen, in the home, it's her job to look after the children" and really, I just wanted to punch him in the face every time he said something to Kairi's mom xD And Kairi wonders why him and her mom don't get along, yeesh. I'm just glad it doesn't seem like that kind of talk is rubbing off on Tidus... at least, I hope it's not! And of course it's okay if a woman WANTS to be a housewife, that's awesome, it's just that it's not a man's decision to decide that that's a woman's place, for all women, end of story. Even when he just scoffed at the idea of helping taking food out to the table, ugh... he just made me so mad! I'm done talking about him xD Not sure if you wanted this strong of a negative reaction to him, but you got it lol! Moving past that to the bit at the end, it was good to see Kairi finally seeing things a lil more from her Mom's perspective. Her breaking down crying was so sad tho Dx But in a way, it's kind of what she needed I think? In order to stop bottling all that stress she's been going through? And I think it was good that Tidus was there to be a comforting friend, even if he maybe didn't fully understand the story behind the break down xD He did his best anyway! Now that Kairi's fallen apart, hopefully she can pick up the pieces, dust herself off, and be ready to take on the world with a new fire in her belly and a fresh perspective! xD That is my wish anyway! Lovely update!

I knew what Kairi's SelTi plan was before it was even explained x'D Oh Kairi, don't you know plans like this never work? But I'm not surprised she still had to try lawl! Side note, can I say I don't care how small it was, but the fact that Sora's face lit up on seeing Kairi was too cute to me? xD Anyway! So rude of Kairi to ditch morning conditioning with Sora! *snerk* the way she scoffs at the idea of liking Sora... gurl, denial isn't just a river in Egypt xP Had a good laugh at Sora and Kairi hiding together, especially when Sora tried to mime an excuse for Kairi to use and it epically failed x'D Gotta say, of all the ways I pictured plan SelTi playing out, the two of them just busting out laughing wasn't one of them, so that was a pleasant lil surprise! I expected them to be royally pissed with Kairi, but I'm glad at least Selphie seems okay with it... Tidus might be a lil miffed, but eh, he'll get over it xP And hey, them talking about Kairi while she could hear it maybe gave Kairi a lil more insight into herself and will allow her to reflect on who she is and the things she does and grow as a person! ...we can only hope so, anyway xD Gwah, still waiting on that awkward exes resolution, good on Sora for pressing on that matter! Tho I dunno if Kairi is ever gonna follow up on it herself, maybe Sora should force Riku to run her down and make 'em talk xD Oh my, that Bonfire Incident! Now starting getting a better picture there, but damn, I want more of the juicy deets! xD Lawl "Exactly. I'm only 17 and I already know it's gonna be one of my life's greatest regrets" one of the best lines! And it's good to see Kairi finally accepting that some things are just out of her control, like with the SelTi situation, and she's actually okay with that! Yaaasssss growth! But ack, that fight with Kairi's mom was rough Dx It's tough, cuz I can see both sides of the argument, and it's hard to tell who is actually right - it could be that Kairi isn't actually giving it her all and her parents are just trying to give her the boost she needs, but it could also be that Kairi IS giving her all and doing her best and her parents just expect more than she can give - every parents thinks their child is a straight-A prodigy, but let's face it, not every child is. All kids can do is try their best, so it's just hard to tell if that's actually what Kairi's doing like she says, or she just THINKS she is and she's giving up too soon. And ah ha! Knew something was up with the mom, was suspecting she'd got laid off, or at least hours got cut back or something! Looking forward to how Kairi will deal with this newfound knowledge, beyond her initial "eff fate" reaction here x'D Awesome chapter!

In answer to your question in the author's note, YES, I most certainly DO read the lists at the beginning of every chapter, and I always love them and find them so well fitting to the rest of the chapter xD Speaking of, Kairi's not wrong - couple names are SO hard, I can't even with those sometimes! Oh why am I not surprised by Kairi feeling the need to insert herself into the SelTi breakup? xD I like how she never really answered Nams' question of why she feels like they have to get back together, cuz c'mon... it was a damn good question in need of answers, Kairi! xP Side note, love that Kairi's still doing conditioning with Sora every morning, even tho she no longer really has too... and just how clueless she is as to why xD And Sora's so sweet to help Kairi with her lil mission here without any questions asked! Hmmmmm, I feel like Selphie's not telling the whole story on the breakup. Something about that rigid smile she gave Kairi set off a red flag for me xD Maybe she's just on edge from Kairi getting nosy into her own personal business, but somehow I feel like it's more to it than that. And Sora suggested Kairi might have had something to do with the breakup too, so I could be on to something! Guess we'll find out sooner or later xD I had a good laugh when Sora called "you know I can run faster than you" after Kairi when she tried to run away x'D Seemed like she may have had a small epiphany about Sora, but I'm not sure if she's all the way there yet about realizing her own feelings or if she's just scared of possible implications. I love how oblivious Nams is when Kairi asks if there's something she wants to tell her. "Um, your collar's wrinkled?" That got a laugh out of me x'D Tho oof, got a little worried there when things grew a little chilly between them. I'm glad they were able to smooth things over during lunch tho. And it's cool to see Nams taking some advice from Kairi! I can't say it enough, I love how you write their friendship, it just feels so real and natural! It's interesting for Kairi to see her mom home early for once. Why do I feel like there's something she's not telling Kairi tho? Especially with Kairi coming downstairs while she's talking to Nams and saying something about having more time to be around... intrigue! Something is afoot! xD Nams and Kairi are so cute with their dresses and their makeup and getting ready for the ball and posing for pictures, and it was just a really adorable scene! And then when Rox shows up and Kairi's dad makes him all awkward by getting pictures of him and Nams together, too cute xD Total high schoolers, right there, loved it! Haha, you captured being at school dances perfectly - especially if you're dateless while your friends are off having fun with their dates, dances can be such a drag with all the fun being the stuff leading up to it! I'm glad she bumped into Sora tho, perhaps those two can rustle up some fun together! Tho maybe not with this little Riku issue coming up, haha! I love how she just keeps repeating that they're friends over and over again and sounding more like she's trying to convince herself each time x'D Good job waving at Riku there gurl, but doh, what's he thinking, coming over to join her?
