Its fics like this which explore into the more human side of Arthur that makes me realize that the BoS is the best faction overhaul in FO4. More aesthetically pleasing then the MM and RR in my opinion, and the named characters like Danse, Ryss, Haylen and Maxson have more interesting character arcs when you follow the BoS over the other factions.

Its easy to demonize Maxson as a tyrant after Blind Betrayal. Heck even I demonized him for a while, but after looking up fics like A Steel Mirror and with what you got going on here, this shows him as a much more complicated and complexed character then that.
