Alexandria’s durability comes from her body being in a form of stasis, which stops the aging process and prevents healers from restoring the eye torn out by Siberian. A quote from her Worm wiki says “her body is more like a statue than flesh and blood”.

Does stasis mean Alexandria cannot become pregnant?

I bring this up because I assume that if Alexandria spends enough time inside an anti-power zone, she’ll eventually have her first menstrual cycle in a decade and realize it’s possible for her to become pregnant.

Psychologically, people tend to romanticize the things life denies them. “Men of peace crave action, men of action crave peace.” Alexandria has spent years coming to terms with being sterile, so the sudden possibility of motherhood would throw her for a loop.

Interesting start. At last, somebody tries to break with the canon premise that Status Quo Is God. :)

By the way, both Contessa and Doctor Mother look much less stupid than they were in canon, at least for now. Also, in canon Contessa were not a real precog - she could get SOME kind of prediction by analyzing the Path changes, but she was never mentioned as obtaining actual view of future events. These changes may be intentional, but I'd say they should be pointed out just in case.

Yeaaah, it's back! Absolutely wonderful, the plot is picking up and it's getting good, please keep going.

I usually hate leaving these sorts of reviews, wanting to write something of a bit more substance, but I've got to say I'm glad you updated and hope you update again soon. This is a very interesting fic.
