Huh. I wanted to see Astrid being a bad ass. It feels like we haven't seen that at all. We keep seeing her on like, the losing side of things. With Hiccup first and now with the outcasts. Ugh, I just wanna see her destroy someone. This might be a headcanon, but she's the top fighter in her generation. That means something. I understand that Hiccup is supposed to be kinda the grizzled and broody bad boy in hiding, but I still think that in a straight up fight Astrid is the most likely to come out on top. Anyways, I'm hopeful that these are just happenstance situational things, and that were gonna see Astrid's time to shine. Kudos and keep on writing

I don't know if you want a critique, but I though I'd leave one anyways. I noticed that sometimes there will be little details in the writing that's wrong, which make the piece sound awkward. Like in one sentence you used same instead of some. Its pretty small and far between so its not like a big deal, but I though you might want to know. Anyways, the reference to Eret wasn't lost on me. I'm actually curious if this is gonna follow the plot of the second movie at all with Drago and co. The only set up for the future of this fic that I that was pretty obvious was, hiccup being the dragon master, the whole working for piece agenda, and the scuttleclaw being far away from something. Which means something might have scared it into flying further, supported by it's injuries. Also the flightmare seems lile it'll become a deal. Kudos and keep on writing

Weird. I can't tell if berk is dragon friendly or not. It seems that fishlegs and hiccup are, but how gobber was talking about the dragon master it seemed like he didn't know, and hiccup is keeping his physique and stuff hidden. Also, Heather? Gods this takes me back. You probably don't remember me but I was an avid reader of this fic. This was one of the first httyd fics I read and each chapter left me stoked.

I had gotten nostalgic and went searching for this and I'm happy to find it again. Writing is still absolutely amazing, I'm so excited to read this.

I don't usually do this, but the transition in this chapter was beautiful. The way you undercut Astrid's denial of any feelings for Hiccup with an immediate follow-up of her "looking everywhere from him" was perfectly executed and a wonderful mix of subtlety, expectation subversion and humour. Once again, just well done. Really, fantastic writing.

You know I can't help but ask what is with the description of Hiccup's voice as nasally, if you're going for a damaged guy who's secretly something of a badass that is not the kind of voice he should have. A nasal voice is generally more high pitched and is typically unpleasant.

It's been years since I read the HTTYD books but seeing mentions of characters like Camacazi made me smile. It really hits all the nostalgic elements that come with loving a series for 8 years. This is a really fantastic fanfiction, and one of my favorite arranged marriage Hiccstrid fics. I'm really enjoying this.

When I read the words the end at the bottom of chapter 26, I thought that it could have been a bit longer.
