No wonder this novel didn't go far despite the great beginning plot.

The author channeled too much of himself the more the chapters go on, to the point that the mc doesn't act like Edward anymore.

Ed is smart and calculating but he is not capable of acting just to get along with bigots like malfoy's gang. He's not even supposed to be in slytherin because he's most prevalent trait is more like a gryffindor with a loyalty of hufflepuff and the smarts of a ravenclaw. His least trait is slytherin, especially for the fact that he was never the manipulating ambitious kind to the point that he sacrificed his power for his brother.

Reading this chapter, I'd say that Winry is actually incredibly book smart. She'd have to be to independently develop various types of automail that are all customized to Ed's use in various environmental conditions.

FMA is unrealistic in portraying how smart children are, but Winry would certainly be some kind of double engineering-medical prodigy to be able to construct what she does.

Good chapter, I enjoy the reactions of the Wizard POV's the most.

I am always looking forward for updates since I am fast reader. The story is so intricately written; I find myself re-reading it frequently. Keep up the good job!

So glad that you updated it! I really liked Ed and Hermione's 'getting together' moment, you did a wonderful job of capturing her anxiety and insecurity towards Ed. No matter how independent she acts, she still worries about what other people think of her. This pairing is really cute, which will make even harder to bear when their unavoidable separation comes.

I really look forward to see how this story will develop from now on. I mean, not only a major character in HBP was taken off the plot (Slughorn), but now the dynamics between the Golden Trio and Draco and Snape will be affected too. I mean, now we have, as you wrote, a 'friend of Malfoy' together with a 'friend of Potter' (and neither of them seem to willing to back away from that relationship yet), so I wonder how things will deviate from canon. Hope you update it soon!

As always, I have to point out (sorry about that lol) how cute I find Ed and Roy's moments, tho it's also sad cos Ed cant say the truth, now for real...
On the other hand, Im surprised Ed is actually going to help Snape with his job, even if it's not a 24/7 watch like Snape probably wants, I feel it would make Draco good...
Finally, Im still conflicted with Hermione's case, it's cute to see her like this (and I felt a little identified with her feelings, I too struggled with that... still do, actually) but at the same time I know it's not going to end well cos I think I remember (tho I might be wrong) that in this fic was already mentioned that Ed is with Winry officially... so I also wonder, what is Ed doing? Is he actually using her?... that worries me

An exelent story, awaiting for update!

Finally caught up! This story is good. I think its a tad slow (the whole thing has only taken like 3 weeks or something!) but progress is clearly made each chapter, which is great. I think it's funny how Ed always thinks of everything in terms of alchemy, even when a lot of magic is clearly not at all, and it is very in-character for him. I'm excited to see more of Mustang's side of things, since I've always thought of him as a more interesting character than Ed, and am especially looking forward to when he starts to take more of an active role in things. Ed is very much the star, but once Mustang gets rolling it's gonna be awesome.
