I like it so far, but I question why you gave her a Burmy. I don't think it's a bad choice necessarily, but you need to make sure you properly develop it in the same way as Charmander.

I love the love and depth of Zack! Maybe during the battle with Grant you can have Charmander evolve because it didn't want to lose. I also suggest the if Zack loves her Burmey and Charmander so much that she nicknames them. For Charmander I suggest something related to fire or the Charmander's personality. For Burmey maybe something to do with the leaves it cloaks itself in.

Hi, I really like your story so far! I think the concept is really interesting, and your writing style is really cute~ If I could make one suggestion, it would be to show, not tell. I think if you have your characters show their traits instead of telling it to us straight from the beginning it could really work with the immersion and character depth. Keep it up, I hope you keep writing! Also, could Zakari maybe have Klefki? It's one of my favorites, haha. w
