exciting :)

Damn, woman. I had the pleasure of reading this in the span of the week and I think this may be one of my favorite fictions on the net, and favorite AU. The writing itself is solid but I can’t decide which my favorite is: the perfectly written team banter or the absolute cleverness of the plot itself. The pacing is so fun and jam-packed with action that I found it hard to put down. I’m the end, what the philosophers stone was remained surprisingly simple without removing the gravity of its reputation. It lived up to the hype.

So many Roy/Riza fiction seems to define them by their angst and this was so refreshing to read them as more than their tragic pasts. This kicked ass and I just got to thank you for crafting such an excellent story.

This was an awesome story loved it all the way through.

I'm pretty sure I already reviewed ch19, so I'll leave the rest of my review here. This story is super fun, written well, and I honestly can read it over and over again. There's some amazing action scenes, butterfly-in-your-stomach romance, fun and flirty banters all around. Team Mustang fit the roles of agents very very well, especially Hawkeye and Mustang. Again, I love how much of a kick-ass Riza is in this fic.

The first time I read this I actually thought Elicia could be a bad guy for a second. I'm glad it's not her, and I did not think it's gonna be the other person (no names so I don't spoil for others lol)

To Denny! Now my headcanon is that Denny is a baker because he makes good pancakes. Lol

Aaaaghhh! That last scene killed me. Your Mustang/Hawkeye interaction is seriously the best. Fun laced with sexy haha. Also, I don't think I've mentioned it but I like how you show the scenes from both Mustang's POV and then Hawkeye's POV.

This chapter is so good. I love Berthold's role in this story as a sort of mentor/thief with an ambiguous agenda. And that Mustang/Hawkeye dialogue omg! Hits the spot between flirty and clever. I also enjoyed Rebecca/Riza's banter. Everything about this fic is so fun!

Oh man. This is such a fun start to the fic. I love the banters and how much of a kick ass Riza is here. You dive in directly for an action scene and it works very well. I love it!

I stumbled across one of your fanfictions your currently posting (Astra non Obligant), which I really like, so I decided to check out your other works. I don't even know if your able to see reviews for stories completed, so I might to have to drop a note in your current one. That being not entirely my "review" style, as I tend to lurk in the background.

First of all: thank you for writing and thank you very much for sharing it on this platform, to enable people who don't write, to read it!

I really like your work, and this one (Trickster & Lionheart) is (my opinion) especially impressive. Good setting, well worked out storyline & plot. Quite in character (which is difficult, I can imagine), and somehow, very well chosen surroundings. If there were an alternate world, this would be a feasible setting in which I could imagine (most of) the characters. Maybe I just like detective like stories, I'm not sure. But: good character depth, nice dialogue, nice character growth. Very well played!

I must admit I do enjoy reading Roy-Riza fanfiction, so I'm biased.

You know, somehow, this story could continue in spin-offs, side stories or short "one shots" - just a suggestion/ hint - it's all up to you.

so this was so worth it. soso worth it.
firstly, all of those action scenes were great and the spider thing LOL Props to Olivier. at first I thought I missed something when Fuery texted 'Charlie' but you're so goddamn clever with the revelation explanation for why he sent that text. Ross was very interesting, full of arrogance, but with a history and family of her own to worry about. Also dingdong Kimbkee the arms dealer is dead woot woot.
On the final chapter:
Kain is adorable, he bought the whole damn building for them. such family vibes. so pure. havolina moved in together upstairs from roy omg i die. little bit of roy angst this poor man tried to rationalize himself to oblivion. riza verbalizing her feelings and intentions and saying she wants a life with roy aah, cuties. i really love how roy caught her whenever she'd deflect questions, what a relationship. i lol'd so hard when Havoc tried to sneak into his apartment for food, that's 100% Havoc. kain and elicia hanging out on the couch, aw. then everyone gathered for a little get together super casually, my heart clenched with family feels, this ending is so rewarding to see this crew go from a hectic lifestyle to this one. this is what they deserve. you rock.

Hello again, ready for another rambly review? I'm not even done with this fic but I didn't want to lose my thoughts. Evidently, I'm going through your fics as of late and it's because you have such *Gripping* plots. I can never put them down! I'm having a rough time with uni workload and this fic revives me on an entertainment and writing appreciation level.

I sincerely adore how you make use of FMA's cast in creative ways every single time and you are always thorough with these AUs! You go big or you home and it's such a thrilling ride. THIS. FIC. THOUGH. It's everything I didn't realize I secretly flipping wanted from these characters as you delve into such a multilayered plot. The basic hook is that Riza's a thief and Mustang's an agent but then you're like, BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE and yOU MAKE IT SUCH A FRESH READ.

The action? Kickass. Always sexy. Such good sequences and I really visualize when the glass shatters or the car chase shootout scene. Such refreshing action sequences and new tricks the team comes up with and initiates in the field from being clever to straight up shooting for cover. Needless to say, I am so hot for Riza Hawkeye oh dear god.
The banter? On point. Havoc was a star, his line "What's your name?" made me lose it every time (twice, but still) but also his flirtations with Riza and Rebecca, omg. Fuery's inputs are great too, I feel like you do a good deal of justice to him, my genius boy!
The relationships each character has? Superb. I especially adore that scene when Riza's mourning Grumman and Rebecca just quietly joins her, also crying. And you made me care so much for Denny, ordinarily overlooked, but he clearly wasn't overlooked by Riza and her team and I felt the loss (along with all the other DEATHS you've hurt my heart with what the heck). I also ADORE grown Elicia in this. I definitely see the purpose in having a different spin on her history and her character at this age is so interesting to explore.
- Riza and Roy's relationship is beautiful. I just love the shift, the development for their feelings and their points of view. It's so organic in this fic with the time and meaningful moments that pass every single time, the changes in their thoughts, the things they notice. I loved the bit on trust in relation to their characters' history and tying it into the realization, 'oh, I trust them that much' to them being acutely aware of each other physically. Splendid content.
PACING. I want your gift for it, seriously. You choose just the right moments to delve into or when the passage of time is necessary and I just appreciate that so much, because we get to see a realistic timeline of everything going down as well as ample room for the characters to develop (Roy and Riza's relationship too, of course).

I appreciate your consistent one line A/Ns, constant though they be, the little smiley face feels so positive that it makes me feel a little bit more optimistic. Thank you so much for sharing this and working so hard to make such an amazing story! I admire you so much as an author because of your storytelling and you bet I'm probably perusing your other works now or in the future. Have a good one!

This has become my favorite AU. So so good! I love everyone's interactions with each other and all the banters. And then there's the Royai and Havolina. Perfect.

I have to stop reading this right now just to tell you that this is amazing and I freaking love it! The Royai interaction is great the characters are all so well realized and fun to read and damn, the plot is intriguing! I cannot put this down, you are keeping me from work and sleep!
