As always, I enjoyed the loving-but-real equestrian descriptions, that damn Rivornor knew exactly what he was doing, and Daeril let him know he wasn’t going to get away with it.. Maybe his owner will have a little less trouble with him now.

Your affinity and love for equus caballus, and for Tolkien's world certainly shine through in this story! I love the careful craft and detailing of your OCs, it's marvelous. As your last update was October 1, 2018, I wonder if you are continuing your fic at some point? It certainly deserves completion if you would! Fanfiction net has so many stories posted, it takes some effort to find to the truly good material worth reading. You certainly score on that! I just discovered this one by tedious searching just recently. I hope all is well and that you will post again. I am favoriting you and your work!

I'm for Ithilien and Mablung myself. A new place and a new start for the young Ranger. And she would still remain a woman warrior, which Mablung would appreciate and treasure.

Oh, wow! These battle scenes were even more intense than the previous one! Great job, and Daeril's thoughts just prior to the fight must have echoed many others. To be surrounded and outnumbered, but to go forward anyway, takes a great amount of courage and heart. Daeril has both qualities, certainly. Her brother gifting her with a secreted family heirloom at such a time was poignant and fitting. I think he knew she would acquit herself well with it, too. I also like that the knife was of elvish make!

What? You didn't watch the LOTR trilogy instead? For shame! Just joking, LOL. Actually, I got so perturbed when Sean Bean was killed of in the first season, I couldn't bear to watch anymore. He's always getting chopped: in a Bond movie, LOTR, and GOT, too! I think his best best death scene was in LOTR, though. Anyway, your battle sequence was spot on. Kudos.

An exciting chapter; in calling and commanding the Dead - the fear, the wonder and the power of Aragorn Elessar, the heir of Isildur, is grandly depicted. Not many even try to pull off the formal, older Westron way of speaking which makes Aragorn more impressive still! Masterful job.

I really enjoyed Daenir's dialogues with, well, everybody. Corwen, Mablung, Lothiriel, Aragorn...

I'm so glad Rocky's healed and back with Daeril! I'm annoyed on her behalf about all the men teasing her about having a man - that's her decision and not theirs!

I've really enjoyed reading this story so far. Really like the way you've managed to weave an OC into the main story in an entirely believable way without interfering with it. Your characters are nicely done and believable as is the world they inhabit.

As a fellow horse person I also really enjoyed the detail you put in to that element of the story too, very nicely done.

Ahhh, big decisions. And most importantly, what does Rocky think they should do? :-)

I love the little aside- "...seemed to worship the very ground she walked on...". Of *course* they do, Daeril does not realize how she appears to others, a warrior maiden of the North. :-)

And apparently she "cleans up pretty well" in her borrowed elven-make party dress!

I really enjoy Daenir and Daeril's sibling dynamic. I loved the part where she danced with Pippin, that was super cute! I'm interested in what path Daeril will choose.
