Poor Qrow. But I can understand (and pretty sure he can too) why this situation came about. Given the dangerous lifestyle of Huntresses and Huntsmen, its amazing that any of them even bother to settle down for a family. And just reading Qrow's joy immediately turn to ash is heart wrenching and tangible. Well done.

Loved the seeds/plants motif you had going.

While it isn't a duplicate of my idea (I'd have been surprised if it was), I think your interpretation does a much better job of explaining itself as well as Qrow's reaction. Something for me to imitate if I ever decide to try my hand at my own prompt.
