I feel like I've read this before, maybe not...anyways, thank you for writing this! It was awesome! I read the author note and as I did I got kinda excited cause that is the exact song that reminds me of Merlin! I always think of Merlin revealing himself to Arthur and asking him or wondering if Arthur thinks he's a Monster. (It's my 5 year old brother's favorite song and it's adorable when he sings along!)

Merlin wouldn't be killed; Arthur may sentence him to death but Merlin would escape. He would never allow himself to be killed just because it's *Arthur*.

It's good but Merlin would never allow Arthur to kill him; he wouldn't let himself be sentenced to death because he couldn't do that to his mother or Gaius.

Merlin always fights to stay alive - and Arthur does not have the power to kill him.
