Aww, poor Arthur. It can get pretty lonely being a royal, and especially the heir to the throne, as you hardly ever know if someone likes YOU or your title. Except for people like Merlin and the knights (the later knights especially - the Knights of the Round Table).
This was a lovely story, I liked it a lot. Really, it was marvellous. Wonderful job, because this was extremely well-written and I would think very much in character.

Awwwh, this was absolutely perfect!

I think you hit on something really true but not talked about much. Arthur, certainly in series 1-3 really doesn't have many people he can call friends. Most people are using him or follow him because of his title and he, because of what his father taught him, believes he must distance himself from others and not get too close. A well written story, thank you for sharing :)
