Wow i really loved this, i was curious at first to see how much Mulan and Mushu changed and that this was more of a dark fic but i really love this, i love how close of a relationship the two have grown to be and Mushu's protectiveness of her that can definitely be seen in the movie counterpart. I loved that fact that you didn't marry Mulan off so she can still be her true independent self and empress no less and that she didn't merciless kill her old troop for revenge. all in all this is one of my favorite mulan fics, thank you very much and may you keep writing many stories.

Oh wow. This was incredible. Mulan reminds me a little of Danaerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones here, but far more cunning and cruel. I enjoyed this dark take on the ending. I was interested to read it because I am currently writing a dark ending that diverges from canon once she was left in he mountains and I hoped I wasn't inadvertently rehashing someone else's idea, but even two similar premises can go in entirely different directions. Well done.

I would have totally watched Mulan more often if this was the real ending.
