Very good story. I always wondered who chose the location of the camp with all the tunnels underneath it like a subway system it had to be built knowing the tunnels were there. Hogan and his men were assigned to Stalag 13 and an insider in Berlin secretly working for the Allies could have arranged this.

Kudos! I wrote something similar to this in my youth, with Klink as a deep-cover British agent, but you did a much better job.

I absolutely love this.

(and I am reminded of the one Fantasy Island I will always remember-the one where "Prison commandants have fantasies, too!" and the guy comes into the happy reunion of the former prisoners with a tank).

I am definitely going to harass my friends and make them read this story.

An interesting twist even if not my favorite. A good stopping point, but I could also see it continuing from here.

A blast from the past! What a lovely alternate ending scenario.

The perfect cover. The absolute perfect cover! A bumbling commanding officer and an idiot for a head sergeant. Who would expect them to be playing their own game within the enemy's game? I can well imagine the series ending in this way. Though I could see one variation on this. Taking the General and Major to as close to the Russian lines as possible before leaving them tied up where the Russian would be sure to find them. Not to mention leaving a note telling who they are and what they were in charge of. Just think of all the fun the Russians would have extracting information from them?
