this was a great little story. i really enjoy that Kagome helped the scouts.

Not bad for a beginning, though some punctuation is missing here and there, but not so much that it's noticeable to everyone. I only saw it because I get all nutty when it comes to writing and grammar, etc.
Word choice isn't bad, but there is a little bit of redundancy and the descriptions are a little too literal. As in, they seem to just bluntly describe while adding very little to no flair. But overall, I'm seeing the potential for a good story to come by.
