I'll be leaving this story now. The pathos and angst has gotten completely out of hand. Plus there was the whole subtext in the Snape scenes of how he should be pitied for the pain he was causing himself. As I think Snivellus deserves nothing but contempt and the Dementor's Kiss, not really my cup of tea.

If you don't mind whats the actual pairing of your story

Will snape be canon or will he be different in this story? In the books he was abused by his father so wouldn't he know the signs? Excited for the next update!

I missed the story

Treading into dangerous territory here. In stories like this that feature substantial abuse, it is tough to tread the line between the two usual extremes of story directions. The first is the usual manipulative uncaring Dumbledore, while the second is where some professor or other adult takes an interest and suddenly solves all of Harry/FemHarry's problems, prosecuting the Dursleys and showing him/her all the love that he/she never had.

I won't say that either one is doomed to be terrible (I've seen better and worse versions of each), but I will say that both can be tiresome. It would be one thing to, as you hint at, see Holly dealing with the aftermath of abuse for a long time to come, but it is another thing entirely if what is to come is Dumbledore systematically stonewalling all attempts to aid her, while forcing her back to the Dursleys every summer to reinforce the abuse she has already suffered. That story could still ultimately be good, but personally I can only take so much of it. Others may like it more, but I tend to struggle to retain interest.

In your retconning of Harriet to Holly, you missed almost all of Hagrid's uses of her name as 'arriet. There are also a few pronoun issues, a few confusing "boy" and "he" instances.

Most of what there has been so far is obviously setup, so I can't much comment on where it is going, but I'll keep reading for now, if only because I rather like Femharry.

So what is her name? You switch between Holly and Harriet multiple times, it's very distracting.

I think that it is going great so far but I believe that it need a bit more dialogue. i have not read many stories were harry is a female but i would like to know what what will happen between her and Hermione. i cant wait for the next up date and wish is comes soon.

So is this going to be femslash or is it going to just be friendship? Either way is cool with me. Also on another note I like what your doing with the story and the darkness doesn't bother me I think it's a realistic touch.

I have read some disturbing fanfictions on this website, and a few that dont make a lot of sense, but yours is getting increasingly dark and its clear your making it make sense. I dont liek the whole dursley lessons stuff, but I have an idea why your doing it.

You have this listed as HarryxHermione, but with harry being a girl, how does that work? Wouldnt it make more sense if it was HarryxRon?

At one point in this chapter, you call Harriet a boy instead of a girl, and near the end, you refer to her as "he" instead of "she".

This story is so awesome! I never read where Harry is a girl. That is so weird. I can't wait to read more!

I like it. It's... definitely dark. I find it interesting how you're portraying the protagonist differently than a lot of authors on here. You're not building your version of Harry Potter positively, but reinforcing the negative.
