Update this is good

I really, really like this premise. For one thing, Cologne as a deuteragonist or tritagnonist isn't done NEARLY often enough. I've always felt that her character has among the most untapped storytelling potential, yet she so often ends up used as a villain or hollow plot device in fanfiction.

Mainly, though, foisting Ranma's canon antagonism with Akane off on Shampoo is nothing short of brilliant. It'd actually be a good stepping stone to having Shampoo and/or Mousse end up with most, if not all, of Ranma's problems. I can see Cologne viewing it as divine providence protecting their queen from earthly minutiae. I can also see Cologne attempting to convince Shampoo, with diminishing success as time passes, of what a great honor it is to shoulder the queen's burdens.

You should most definitely consider kicking this story around again.

This was great. I'm so over-joyed to not only see a new Ranma-fic, but such a good one.

Heh heh, pretty funny. I like the changes you threw into the mix, how you're switching up some of the dynamics. And the humor was fun too, especially the moment when Ranma pulled out the staff.

In terms of suggestions, a couple of the places where you stuck particularly close the the canon versions of the scenes despite all the differenes felt a tiny bit on the forced side (like the WHAM, "had that coming" bit) and a little repetitious, given how we've seen close matches many times over now. Might have worked better to break off more completely for some of that stuff. Still, the other stuff more than made up for it, and it was extremely enjoyable overall.

Hmmm... The farce is STRONG with this one. Loved the deconstruction of the 'Akane takes a bath with Ranma... NOT!' scene. Very entertaining. Thanks.

Not sure what to think of the story so far. Not that you have not written enough for a sample but rather I am curious about it but not sure I like it.

I do give you marks for original. I can only think of one story that had Ranma as a queen of the Amazons before that was not a Sailor Moon/Ranma crossover or fusion. The other story was never finished and was quite different except for the one queen part. Maybe you will continue until the story reaches a logical end.

I like this rather a lot

Ok, you got me interested, I'd like to see where you'd go with this. The Amazons are a much better foil for royalty than most of the inconsistent views from most fanfiction or the amine version. Genma seems to have his teeth pulled a bit though, he is lazy to a fault, but would work hard to keep Ranma under control. Nabiki has the ability here to really cause some problems for them all.

"Princess knock you out," supplied Shampoo. "Is great honor."

This line had me rolling. I'm happy to have found a story that has well-written humor. They seem to be in short supply these days, though I definitely recognized the writing style. Sad that we won't see any more of the story.
