This makes me want to hug her. Loss like this is so hard, even when it's expected on some level. Your heart breaks for the family. Except their rotten son.

This is excellent. Leia's inner conflict, always putting on the proper front, no matter the cost, the careful smile, the caution, her making eye contact "even though it's bleeding her dry"...such a powerful phrasing. So good. This is excellent.

Aww, Han. :'( I'm still crying about him. I feel like your story does his memory justice, though. Good job. And poor Leia, too. I feel so sad now. I guess that's good for the quality of your story. This really made me think (I have decided that I now hate Kylo Ren more than ever! He must die!). Leia has so much to deal with now, it's not even funny. To have to lead one of the biggest armies in the galaxy against your son while mourning your husband... I can't even imagine.

Oh, you know you break my heart with this stuff. "She almost breaks when she realizes it's only a matter of time before his scent fades from her pillow. She turns her head away from anyone who might catch her crumbling." Beautifully expressed, but terrible to read. Poor Leia. :(

What a beautiful insight into Leia's heart and soul, and so very realistic. I'm not one who is upset that they had marital problems onscreen - it made them more real to me, and this only builds on that. Thanks so much for writing and publishing.
