absolutely loved it! loved that it was from Nicole's pov and that you gave her a back story. for a while now, kat (barrel) has been saying in interviews that in season 2 she would like to have Nicole's back story revealed so we could learn a little bit more about her-this was definitely an interesting back story to come up with.
didn't really like how wave kept referring to champ-about how he treated her and the fact that wave still had some of champ's clothes lying around that Nicole changed into that one time-I almost would've thought Nicole would've said she'd rather walk around in a bath towel than wear any of his clothes. and really...WHY DOES WAVE STILL HAVE CHAMPS CLOTHES WITH HER?
but when wave was going on about some factoid thing and mentioned that champ used to call her a nerd...LOVED THAT NICOLE SAID THAT CHAMP WAS AN IDIOT AND BECAUSE OF THAT, THAT MADE HER (NICOLE) LUCKY!
loved that wynonna caught waves and Nicole in the laundry room...and the lame way they tried to cover it up-so funny.
as soon as nedley gave Nicole the letter from her grandmother-I was almost positive that it was going to be news that her mom had died-either her mother or her brother-though she was closer to her brother...he still never seemed to accept Nicole for who she was.
you had Nicole react to her mother's death pretty much the way I would've had her do. she's upset-but she doesn't know why she should be. funny that Nicole and wynonna started to "bond" a little over drinking when wynonna offered her a beer and nic asked if she had anything stronger.
obviously, didn't like that Nicole snapped at wave's but once again, understood why. wynonna never knew why Nicole was in a "mood" but knew that something wasn't right-so she sent waves in to go talk to her-which she did-which I loved. then Nicole snapped and stormed out.
interesting move to have Nicole go out to her squad car with the whiskey in the middle of the night and pass out in the backseat. then loved the move how wynonna came out to nicoles's place to "kick her ass" for making her little sister cry-and probably really to check up on her and found her in passed out in the back seat. love the line you gave wynonna, "passed out in the back seat of a squad car clutching a bottle of whiskey after making my little sister cry? are you me at sixteen?" GREAT LINE!
of course, hearing that she made wave cry made Nicole sober up immediately and totally loved that she asked wynonna to take her back to see her. loved that wave jumped all over Nicole for being a shit-head to her, but all was more than forgiven when Nicole told her that her mom died and she explained that they weren't real close-but she was still mad and she took it out on wave instead.
wave reaching out that "olive branch" telling Nicole that she understood about losing family and invited Nicole to go with her to visit willa-very touching. before I forget-also obvious to say that I loved when the "i love you's" came out.
PRETTY SAFE TO SAY THAT I LOVED EVERY BIT OF THIS STORY AND WAS INTERESTING TO GO BACK AND FORTH THROUGHOUT THE TIMES IN NICOLES LIFE-I THINK IT ACTUALLY WEAVES A GREAT STORY AND GIVES US A GLIMPSE INTO THE THINGS AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE NICOLE WHO SHE IS TODAY.
THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE WOULD BE AT THE VERY END WHEN SPEAKING OF SOME OF THE THINGS THAT NICOLE STILL DOESN'T KNOW, AND THEN WHAT SHE DOES KNOW-AND WHAT SHE DOES KNOW IS THAT "WAVERLY EARP SMELLS LIKE CHERRIES AND TASTES LIKE BUBLEGUM"...I WOULD'VE DEFINETLY ADDED THAT SHE LOVES WAVE-'CAUSE THAT WE DEFINETLY ALL KNOW, TOO. AND THEN THAT SHE "MIGHT" WANT TO MARRY THAT GIRL SOMEDAY. I WOULD CHANGE THAT TO "SHE "DEFINTELY" WANTS TO MARRY THAT GIRL SOMEDAY." 'CAUSE ONCE AGAIN, WE ALL KNOW THAT SHE DOES.
SO, MAYBE "TWO THINGS THAT SHE'S FAMILAR WITH IS THAT WAVERLY EARP SMELLS LIKE CHERRIES, AND TASTES LIKE BUBBLE GUM. AND TWO THINGS THAT SHE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT ABOUT IS THAT SHE LOVES WAVERLY EARP TO THE MOON AND BACK, AND THAT ONE DAY REAL SOON, SHE'S GOING TO MARRY THAT GIRL THAT SAVED HER FROM A BUCH OF BULLIES ON A PLAYGROUND AND FROM THAT MOMENT FORWARD, COMPLETELY STOLE HER HEART."
that's just how I would've worded it-but your whole story once again is fantastic!

Lovely! It was fun to see the story from Nicole's viewpoint. She gained a nice depth as you developed her character. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how many of your sentences jumped right off the page - you've got a real knack for painting vivid word pictures. More, please!

Awesome fanfic! With it being in Nicole's POV to her childhood and earning a permanent place in the gang! Not to mention it's longer than most of these other fics in this section. Definitely top shelf! ️

How was this so good! Seriously this story was unnaturally incredible. Having Nicole be from Purgatory, the flash back that just enough information, like real life information, opposed with the present of vampires and cow killing witches? Brilliant, this story it's... it's top shelf man.

this was so good! loved that it was nicole's pov, loved getting flashbacks so we could get some background, loved how you went from hilarity to heartbreak to sweetness to scratches on her back and all that around again. i thought your nicole was pretty unique since you gave the character much more than what we've seen in the show. i suppose the downside in that is in comparison, the other character don't look as dimensional in your fic- we're relying on our knowledge of the characters in the show. i do like how you kind of bookended the fic with waverly and nicole's mother. what a heck of a fic.

some of my favorite excerpts: 'the town heaven and hell both forgot,' 'because she's evil and wants nicole to die,' 'waverly could mover her 50 miles w/ the slightest pressure of her pinky,' and the entire laundry room bit. thanks for giving the earp fandom some more awesome fic!
