Short but sweet...i think Ruby will be the one tat helps Jaune...plus they're parallel's to Taiyang and Summer, Ruby's parents. I don't want to rush it but i really they slowly develop feelings for each other because i don't want they're relationship rushed if Ruby becomes Jaune's second love..Please write Lancaster stories! Especially if they're going to as good as this. And I love pairing...thanks...

It's awkward and, the fact is, I can understand both character's mixed feelings.

No matter what Ruby feels for Jaune, he's still in mourning for and more than half in love with Pyrrha. Ruby is still doubtless telling herself that, if she'd been faster, stronger and better trained she could have stopped Cinder and saved Pyrrha's life. There's simply no way that either of them could more a relationship forward whist Pyrrha's ghost (no doubt wishing she could somehow slap them both upside the heads for using her as an excuse to back away from their feelings) is hovering between them.

Short, sweet, and, as always, fantastic. I love the whole conversation. The laughter. The uncertainty. The awkwardness. The pain. It all blended together perfectly in a way only you could do. I'm glad to see you're still writing, and I hope to see more from you soon.

I don't ship this, and admittedly, don't know why I clicked this. But I read it, and it works so well, that honestly, it's so believable. If the show wasn't aimed at youth as well, this could actually be a part of it. I love how you ended this, the awkwardness, the talking, everything.

Adorable and fitting for both of the characters, if the show went an even more mature route and they decided to make Lancaster canon I could imagine this happening.

Dang that was something in the feels. Jaune is still grieving over the lost of a certain red haired Spartan girl while Ruby is grieving about that along with what happened to her team. They find comfort in each others arms and warmth. Love is not something that happens overnight but perhaps with time it can evolve. Hopefully they play something like this in the next volume of RWBY since I'm a huge Lancaster fan.
