| philomel chapter 2 . 1/30/2005 Not to sound overly like Shaz, but it infuriates me (not just for Bridget's sake but for all the girls out there) that girls feel the need to restrict their food intake to the point where they haven't enough body fat to have their periods. It's bad in so many ways. Dangerous for one's bone density, one's hormone balance... As for temporary infertility, few non-Bridget people worry about not being able to conceive in their teens, so when they find out there's little damage of permanent barrenness they stop worrying. But it's bad for a woman's body to have to small a percentage of body fat. *steps further up on soapbox* To all young women out there, be fit! Don't sweat the 23% body fat. Cherish it! Work on your muscles and your heart, and your body will be beautiful too, if you care. Just keep up that body fat... *steps off soapbox* Sorry about that. I enjoy your Bridget tremendously. Bridget fantasizing about being a homewrecker, an angel of mercy, a victim of murderous revenge... Bridget walking all the way home rather than meeting a guy because her hair is humidity-frizzed. Priceless. |
