Really great characterization here, having Erik read The Art of War

i still have dust in my eyes. It was such an act of love for Erik to share Nina with Peter.

Nina. Poor baby. Peter and Nina both love in their own little worlds. I'm sad Peter never got to meet her. He was so cute with his baby sister, he'd have loved Nina too.

This put tears in my eyes. Erik lost so much but Peter is still a gift.

Peter really does live in a different world from everyone else. I wonder if he feels lonely sometimes? I felt sad for Erik here but also happy that he still has a child to love and be a father too. Even if he can't get Nina back.

God. Erik just kills me. It hurts. I never thought of Peter being able to escape into the slowness, but I guess it is for him. It's like a break from people. And he gave Erik a bird present! It's a way of remembering Nina AND Peter.

And he's running his own speedy delivery service. That's a hilarious and awesome use of his powers.

Erik breaks my heart. What a terrible loss. But it shows how good it is for him to have Peter. His little speed demon.

It's about time he sees its worth it.

This was PERFECT. The setting. Descriptions. Dialogue. Characterization. And it put my heart in my stomach. It's still there.

Also I have no clue if it was intentional or if you are familiar with American Horror Story, but Tate in season one (played by the same actor as Quicksilver) has a VERY famous line/scene: "I like birds, too." So whether or not that was intentional, it added to my feels.

This is so incredibly sweet and I love it. You captured both characters really well and if this situation were to happen in the movies, I think it would play out exactly like this. LOVE ITTTTTT!

Erik breaks you heart. Losing his little girl like that, so terrible. Interesting that he's still a little guarded with Peter, but it makes sense. I can't imagine how hard having a surprise adult son would be. I love how it ended hopefully, with Erik realizing that he's still a father.
