I haven't seen DC in a few years so I am confused about some of the references. Like Heiji's attempt at confessing to Kazuha next to JSDF. I don't know from what episode that was from. Also is it really true that a lot of supernatural cases happen when Heiji is with Conan, multiplying the Detective curse to reach supernatural cases? I want to know

he's keeping the enemy from doing something stupid and or making a fool of himself or worse
