This was perfect; like drinking a cup of hot tea or coffee on a cold day. I love your descriptions of Hathor and Horus and how they view sleep compared to their mortal companions. You conveyed so much warmth and characterisation in this story and I also love the moments between Hathor and Horus as well as Bek and Zaya. There were a lot of layers to this story and some really deep themes beneath the wonderful H/C. I too sleep better with someone next to me, even if it's just my cat so I completely understand where this is coming from. Fantastic work!

Horus, dearie, I'm sorry but that's not offhanded, that's blatantly overprotective of your small Bek-shaped friend.
