This little piece still manages to convey a lot. It's a sweet ending, with the two of them asleep in each others arms, and yet you haven't forgotten Erik's dark past. I like the idea of Christine being able to banish his nightmares.

I really like your headcannon that Erik suffers from nightmares. Wait, IS it a headcannon, or was it established in Susan Kay's book?
