Xanders decision shows how much he is maturing.

Xander's really manning up.

This and the chapter with Willow are nice scenes; they show how supporting someone they care about requires that they look at themselves and maybe face some of their own issues or past deeds. It's subtle, and a good observation. It makes this story more emotionally real.

Buffy seems to be dealing with a lot of guilt-guilt over the way she treated xander in the past, guilt over the possibility stabbing Faith could have killed the child(and not sure how the child did survive her mother being stabbed in the stomach), guilt that the real mother might come back.

I hadn't thought of it, but maybe Buffy is the someone who might be changed in the summary description.

Retail won't take you very far unless you are full time and get the benefits. Xander's willingness to work nights and weekends might impress the managers there.

His confused emotions make sense to me, and Willow's delayed support does also. It makes the story seem more real to me.

Love the new chapter, but you need to name the baby and let us know if Xander is the father.
