Sadly, the twenty years as a goblin were probably much better years than the ones Snape spent before-people didn't try to kill him much, he could be as grouchy as he wanted, no Voldemort *or* Dumbledore, and mostly, people left him alone. Granted, all the earlier years of his life were a *really* low bar. And he undoubtedly thinks the Aurors will be by to drag him to Azkaban now that Hermione knows he's alive.

And of course a scandal has to be buried if there's a Gryffindor involved. I mean, it's not like the goblin was almost fed to a werewolf, right?

Filius is right, though-Hermione in a library has a special gift. Books *like* her. Funny how she's so certain that Snape is trying to stop goblins from going to Hogwarts, though-you would think she would have learned better by now.

Hurrah that there was justice for the goblins. No wonder Snape stays with them-they're more likely to treat him well than humans. That much didn't change.

But as we see, Severus has to change, while Hermione always gets her way. That part of Hogwarts hasn't changed either.

I loved this story so much! Exceedingly well written with an intriguing plot and completely original concept. We very rarely think of Fleur as the half-blood she is, and I love her character in this piece. Oh, and the headmaster's library! I'm so, so glad to have read this.
