Snape will know the house is truly lived in when he steps on the first Lego. Snicker.

And he's moved from 'my house is full' to 'my home is full'.

I love how he's teaching Rosie, while he and Hermione are teaching each other how to love.

This chapter is so delightful. Snape transitions so well from backing out completely, to thinking he might as well show, to dutiful acceptance, and then a giant leap to 'my house is full'. Part of him knew what he was doing when he bought such a big house.

And why wouldn't he want something worlds away from Spinners End, in size as well as color and place?

Rose and Hermione? Both have been changed, but just as eager for life despite Ron's rejection.

Nice set up-and yes, sometimes good days are dull, but that still puts them way higher than the first 38 years of Snape's life.

Good summing up of both parties' lives, and watching them meet will be fun.

So this is another favorite. I think what I like about best is that you easily move them from past acquaintances to friends to lovers with such ease. Their familiar domesticity of the family lounging with their books. I love it very much. It’s effortless and believable and just downright wonderful.

You really give everyone a second chance here. Hermione to find love. Snape to find a family. Rosie to find a world that accepts her.
