This story was... just so refreshing!
I really liked this peaceful rythm in your writing, the diary type writing with a few moments in the 'present'.
Actually I enjoyed it so much that I'd really like to do a translate to my own language, a french translation.
But I'd prefere to have you being ok with that before even thinking of doing it, it's your work after all even if I translate it, it's yours.
I hope I'll have an answer from you for that!

Didn't Tonks give Harry a communication mirror that would let them talk at some point earlier in the story? Like, sometime between years 3 and 5? I'm surprised that she specifies that she wants weekly letters if they can basically FaceTime whenever they want. Maybe that minor detail was overlooked when writing this chapter. Really pleased with how the start of their relationship turns out though!

This chapter really took me by surprise. I'd never really considered something like this, but thinking on it now it doesn't surprise me that Veela might have something like this in their history. Absolutely tragic, and a be really sobering event. Well done, I would like to see something like this in other stories that incorporate Veela. In a lot of fics, this kind of consequence to xenophobic bigotry is often skirted around. In most fics, the extent of the persecution faced by Veela is the misogynistic bigotry of people treating Veela as sex objects or a sub-human species like Goblins. But it's only logical given historical precedent that they would have faced genocidal threats, and a day to grieve for those lost in the xenophobic attacks is a good way to represent that. Really well done, I love what you did here.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would, I don’t normally care for stories with a lot of flashbacks and whatnot, but this was written in such a way that I could enjoy it. Good job.

There is nothing wrong with Italics! I love reading italics because they usually hold the memories of the character (or person) in question. A first person account and I love reading first person accounts...

Thank you for a very touching and excellent story. It shows how to Make a great story keeping most of the magic of Harry Potter and its world without making it full of angst, death, violence and hatred.

I have noticed typos or missing words in places that perhaps a beta or proofreader might help but you brought character development forward and the mix of first and third person actually was incredible and you did a great job of mixing the two considering 1st person is generally not good for stories.
