This is such a humorous crackfic for a pairing that is usually played pretty straight. That Tenten clearly values regular, hard work and schedules and still plans to steal from Neji was surprising, even suspenseful (is she of unscrupulous character? Why does she know how to tell fortunes? Wouldn’t the security guard end up revealing that Tenten claimed that they were dating?) and /then/ it’s hilarious when the good she’s after are as harmful as his ratty clothes.

Also, I thought naming her dog “Karma” worked especially well given that Tenten s schedule-oriented and in favor of hard work. Karma is sometimes represented as almost lawful, predictable, so that made sense from a characterization point of view. And of course Karma bringing them together.

Very strange fic, but its kookiness works because you convincingly made them both stubborn and eccentric (so basically because of clever writing).
