What a fun story! It's interlaced with Star Trek and the gang of TBBT, so it's instantly a winner in my book! The surprise ending, along with Sheldon's recollection of Nurse Chapel's words to Spock, combine to give us a pure Big Bang style of resolution that is both quite touching and glazed with delightful, playful banter. Captains' s Log, Stardate 1526.6: Mission accomplished!

PS: Many thanks to the author for setting the game in the original Star Trek universe, for those of us who grew up on that version.

This was wonderful form beginning to end. Loved the costumes, the Star Trek, and all the humorous dialog. When Sheldon was so nervous and wanting things to be perfect, I had a suspicion of what he was up to, and the execution of his plan did not disappoint! There were so many small details in here that worked very well—so many that I don’t think I could pick a favorite. I hope when this issue comes up on the show that they will find a way to do it in a creative manner such as this.

I especially enjoyed Sheldon's brief thought to how he used to hide his feelings and pretend not to understand her. That's always been my theory of Sheldon as well, and I'm glad to see that someone else views him in the same way. Thanks for the story!

Why have I not read this earlier?! (short answer, I'm forgetful) But gosh! This is literally the definition of a perfect proposal! The characters are all in-character, it's funny and, most importantly, it's written by such a talent! What more could you ask for? And the ending! You know what you could write next? A sequel once everyone has... left the premises to allow Spock and his lovely nurse some privacy!

Ha, I KNEW it was going to end in a proposal. It just made sense - how he was obsessed with seeing the game through, how angry he got, his extreme (even for him) reactions... and the proposal itself was sweet. And very in character, like everyone was. Only Sheldon would use Star Trek and create a game to propose to his girlfriend...
