supernova aye? Reminds of Paradise Lost by John Milton. Well done :) God Bless xx
GoldenTresses91 chapter 1 . 9/19/2008
Supernova.

That was lovely, how it has dual meanings - literally it can be taken as Lucifer, but look a little deeper, read a little bit more into it, and it's about the sun. Supernova. Sort of like the Bible itself: one giant metaphor. Please continue writing.

i believe i see what you are typing

every star has a fate

to someday explode

be in white dwarf

neutron star

or a hole of black ness

of infinate pull

what happens when one star,

refuses to go by this predestined path?

truly "defying the universe"

in your poem
Anonymous chapter 1 . 3/17/2007
This is lovely. It manages to capture the sentiment without weighing it down with extra moralistic statements. It helps that this is an opinion I share I'm sure...but really, I think this captures the idea of the courage shown by Lucifer, and the definition of true courage as a whole-standing up for what you, in your heart of hearts, truly feel is right, and being willing to fight for it solely because it's right, whether or not you will win. There is indeed something strikingly beautiful about that.

Xanabal chapter 1 . 11/2/2005
Something "beautiful" about a being who defies perfect goodness and perfect love? And brings evil and hatred into the universe, and uses his God-given life and God-given power and God-given intellect to inflict unutterable pain and sorrow upon the life of every other being he possibly can?

Nice try. Beautiful? No. Vile, putrid, wretched ugliness personified. A horror beyond that which the human mind can fathom, which has the brilliance to present itself at first in a pleasing manner, to gain allies who do not even realize how they help it to carry out its evil...

Be careful...

*claps* Great poem! You can write poetry very well ... at least, better than I can. But, really, it is a very good poem. I love it! *kudos for you*
kireira chapter 1 . 1/24/2004
I came here from your profile (after "Condensed Cain") and I've never heard of "Bible", but your summary for this caught my interest. I like that quote a lot, and this poem is definitely beautiful. Taking it outside the fandom, it is a thought-provoking piece as well.
Good-Bye Everybody chapter 1 . 8/2/2003
