Just stumbled on this and as a fan of both Dresden and DA I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Crossover Junkie chapter 3 . 12/26/2016
For a nickname for Dresden, it could be something having to do with the fact that he always wears a leather duster.
PrinceSheo chapter 3 . 12/22/2016
I vote for harry to gain the knight-enchanter rout, a sword (or spear) made out of magic is awesome, especially if it could be augmented by his winters mantle
xbox432 chapter 3 . 12/22/2016
For a nickname... maybe beanpole or M'Lord. The first would be descriptive, the second would be just to ruffle Dresden's feathers, just don't see him liking a title of nobility, even in jest.

For the chapter, I don't think you know the purpose of a colon. It's supposed to be used when your setting up a list or a possibly a quote. You're using them like they are a substitute for commas and semicolons.

Oh, and the chapter was a great example of Dresden's inner monologues, but it was really lacking in dialogue. Was the purpose to use this as just a time skip?

Yes! well done for this chapter! i really like your style of writing, for i have never seen it before. i am also very interested in seeing how the C/HD plays out. honestly that was the pairing i was hoping you would go with if you did one. thanks for the chapter and i look forward to seeing the next one!
gabe.d.clark.1997 chapter 2 . 12/4/2016
Speaking about the laws of magic, do you think Solas would be interested in them? I mean "You shall not open the Outer Gates" would have kept them from Abyss (my personal head-canon of what the black city is, a gate into where the darkspawn come from) so what's-her-name hunts-alot wouldn't have gone insane. As well as making mages more PR friendly so everyone won't try to kill them as much.
gabe.d.clark.1997 chapter 1 . 12/4/2016
Ouch, did the demon end up going through a metamorphosis because of how embarrassing it's death was?
BKtem chapter 2 . 11/22/2016
(Sorry, English is not my native language) I adore the this crossover!
The first chapter was very compressed, but the second was already much more pleasant to read. We're good at convey character of Harry. I look forward to updates!
ThomasBenFS chapter 2 . 11/20/2016
Great second chapter! and thanks for the PM, I cant wait to see Dresden's reaction to the war between the mages and Templars. Also will we see Dresden's magic and what will solas's reaction to it be? (Fuiego, etc...) because as far as i know their magic is different...
have fun continuing the story!
Crossover Junkie chapter 2 . 11/20/2016
I TOTALLY AGREE with you about the Pole arm thing! I wish that was an option in the Dragon Age games. The closest thing to it is if you are playing a mage and someone gets really close to you and you hit them with your staff. However, if that happens you are best off trying to move out of the way. Also, like you said, a pole arm is good because you are able to keep foes at more of a distance. This also means that even if the foe is larger and stronger than you, that advantage is at least somewhat neutralized because they can't get as close to you. Plus, it is a known fact that spears require less training than swords.
LetsWriteNow chapter 2 . 11/19/2016
Ok, first of all, love the story. So far you seem to have gotten characters down really well as well as the Dresden Files style of narration. Here's the thing though, I would like to see more dialogue between the characters. I get the idea that you probably don't want to retread old lines, but it can help set up characters beyond the narration and dialogue helps paint a clearer picture for your readers.

So far that's the only thing I can say that's wrong about the story. Like I said before, good story and very Dresden like narration. Keep up the good work.
Phant0m5 chapter 2 . 11/19/2016
The first law of magic only applies to things with a soul, which can be easily discerned by weather he can soulgaze his enemy. He doesn't even have to actually do the 'gaze, he just has to glance in their eyes and see if he feels the gaze trying to draw him in. Can gaze, has a soul, need to kill manually. No gaze, blow 'em up.

So. Humans/elves/dwarves/qunari are obviously a no-go, unless the Red Lyrium actually sucks a person's soul out, but the risk probably isn't worth it. But Demons, possibly Darkspawn, elementals, maybe golems (the dwarf soul may actually be trapped in there though, so maybe not) and any animals are completely fair game to kill with magic. According to Dresden verse logic, anyway. Maybe everything has a soul here and he can't use magic at all. But just plain cutting Harry Dresden from his magic, even after he knows he has it, seems like going a bit too far.
