I think Gabriel is Hawkmoth, but I agree with you in that he is not a bad father. He wasn't OOC or anything in your story. The thing is, in the show they have yet to reveal Hawkmoth's motivations which is the difference between him being a true villain or just a grieving man desperate to bring his family back together. Of course that's only if Gabriel is Hawkmoth. I half think that when it comes to the big reveal it's going to be someone we barely know or has not even been introduced yet. No matter what happens, I just want Adrien and Gabriel to have a healthy relationship, and for Tikki and Plagg to be reunited. I honestly don't know what I'm more excited for, the drama that comes with Mari and Adrien learning the others identities, or the Kwami reunion.
