For something so simply written, the context and depth to it was exceptionally vast and the plot had me drowning in tense silence! It was alluring, weirdly romantic and had my blood racing at every month that passed by because I was waiting for the clock to strike zero. And I am not left unsatisfied to say the least! Total Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibes going on in this plot, and I loved every bit of it!

This was stored towards the bottom of the (shamefully) ever-growing pile of awesomeness you've posted within the last year and I was strung along for the ride before I even knew it! Superb job, C! I'm a total sucker for a good action-packed and romance heavy plot that has me in constant suspense!

Lastly, I love that you've managed to hint at the loneliness lurking around these two. To twist the canon traits and still put them in a situation that has them battling constant danger, and to be so close to one and other yet not fully allowed to love, and to have scars from the past that ran so deeply. It came in fleeting moments- for instance, Erza's panic attack- but it was enough to paint that vast picture. If you were to plot a full on multi-chapter story for a similar plot, I would be thrilled!

Okkkkk omg this was killing me softly on my way to work. Like, picture me on the train just trying not to weep at how beautiful all the words were, how effortlessly it was told and how heartbreaking the plot was. It just fucking got me when she said she was happy and terrified in the same line. How fucking profound. It was just one heck of a beautiful story that didn't give away too much and set the right pace and tone for the plot. I felt like I wanted to know what the story behind Erza's recruitment was but there are just some stories that absorb reader entitlement and make you say "Wow that was amazing and truly satisfying. I'm not going to be a shit and ask for more than what's here."
