I'm very much so looking forward to the next chapter. Gaara returning to the desert should be very entertaining to say the least. Then there's a Crocodile on top of that? It's going to be epic.

I'm glad Luffy's been beefed up. Also, I'm getting worried about the more than a month gap in updates the closer I get to catching up. I'll have to look at the reviews later to see what your upload rate is normally like, but I hope you haven't lost interest in the story yet. This is really becoming one of my favorites.

This is starting to feel like a very long prologue. I mean, it's right there in the summary. "Luffy is overjoyed to get three nakama at the start of his journey...". That made me think this story was also Luffy's story and it actually starts when they come together. But I don't see any sign of that happened soon.

That A/N is relieving. I started word searching Luffy's name just to find out whether or not his role would be disappointing. I'm glad you've planned for it.

Is there going to be a point to Luffy being his captain if his power continues creeping up like this? He's fighting like Zoro did a couple islands in. How's he even going to be recruited?

Thinking about my last review, I'm going to reconsider something. While I won't rescind my belief that Naruto having such little important influence or overall relevancy(in my own opinion), I also understand that this is more of a personal preference towards Naruto being important than anything in your story actually being wrong. As I said prior, your story is well written, the interactions are nice and pleasant to read, but the constant flashbacks of various characters (Zoro, Kurama, Shukaku) are often off putting since they come in the middle of a chapter. There isn't much you can do about that other than restructuring the flashbacks towards the beginning or end instead of the middle and spacing them out over a duration(mostly due to just how long your chapters are.) Your chapters, while long, never seem over winded or annoying to read and contain good content. To rephrase and simplify my own previous concerns about Naruto's own involvement is just that he seems to be the butt of most jokes which can become irking, for example, Gaara saying that he's going to be the first one eaten(in all the stranded jokes he makes), Naruto being worse at blowing wind then Luffy even though he used a wind jutsu, Naruto tripping and falling while looking embarrassed somewhere you wrote, Naruto throwing his weapon away constantly due to a seal only to use the Kyuubi instead of a jutsu or anything else, etc. You did give Naruto a special weapon, one that doesn't listen to him and that doesn't seem to be any better than his previous one due to this, but there does seem to be albeit slight progress there(?) Like I said, right now Naruto is basically used to take out cannon fodder and really the fact that his name is in the character list almost seems to be just a way for people who are looking for Naruto (as a main character) fanfiction to come and look at your story rather than it actually pertaining to him. Again, other than the placement of the Flashbacks and their abundance to be used to explain things as well as some odd placed jumps from the One Piece world to the Elemental Nations to show what is going on with Kakashi, Hinata, Kiba, and Shino (which I'm not really sure why they were there at this point to be honest), your writing style is definitely professional and very well done. My gripes are really preferences towards Naruto, as in bias toward him being in some shape or form important, and if you like his current importance or relevance, I won't antagonize you as it's your right as an author. Other wise I really do enjoy the story, I'll stick around for a while longer, just to see if Naruto changes in any way or to see how the Albasta incident will be dealt with(as in Shukaku coming out since Gaara can just let him out still im guessing).

Honestly when I first picked up the story I ended up enjoying it due to its originality and premise, but over time it seemed kind of repetitive for Naruto, if not a bit sad. Most everyone from One Piece got a buff, but Naruto seems to be rather weak in comparison. I say this because Gaara hasn't struggled(I know he's supposed to be strong but Naruto can't compete at all), Zoro is stronger and knows jutsu AND has a kekkei genkai the story basically revolves around early and lore wise, Luffy has Haki and is way more tactical, Sanji has Haki, and Naruto doesn't really seem to be catching up.I didn't expect the story to be Naruto centric, but I also didn't expect him to have so little importance. His role seems to be watching from the sideline for every fight or fighting cannon fodder or fighting some random enemy that I guess is an OC and having a hard time with them or nearly dying to them. The sad thing is that I can understand why because it wouldn't make sense for him to steal Zoro's or Luffy's fight, not to mention that both Naruto and Luffy are so similar personality wise that you can't keep both relevant, but you could have at least thrown him a bone 20 chapters in. I'm not telling you to change it because I really don't see this fic being able to change it this late in without it being something drastic, but really -for a fic that has Naruto as one of the main casts in the details it seems you might as well put Gaara. Anyone who comes here to see Naruto will only see him prior to Luffy, any changes that Naruto helped make happen in cannon is stripped away, the bijuu don't even really care about Naruto, it's all about Zoro. It has to do with Zoro's magical kekkei genkai, how Zoro respects the bijuu, how his ancestors or something were friends with the bijuu while Naruto just exists. Naruto didn't affect Tsunade, he didn't affect Haku, he didn't change anything and lacks any importance what so ever other than being used as a device to change or explain Zoro; he can't even seem to function without either Zoro or Luffy telling him what to do(and why he takes orders from Luffy so early on is confusing and doesn't make much sense as well as Gaara loving Luffy so much). If you were writing a normal book, this would be fine as Naruto could just be seen as a side character who would die or have his own arc later, but as a fanfiction where Naruto is supposed to have importance, it's lacking in his involvement and development that LITERALLY everyone else seems to have to some extent. Naruto's growth goes from being a child who was abandoned and sad to being a child who takes orders and listens to what he's told. Theoretically, if you were to change it at this point it'd still be too late due to just how long it takes for him to do anything, and you already seem to be doing good for reviews and favs and what not, so you're obviously doing something right. I'm not trying to rant or be angry or say that because Naruto isn't the main character it's bad, I'm just saying that it's almost falsely advertised and to keep my comments in mind as critiques, though whether you mind them is up to you of course. I read this far because I expected this to be addressed at some point due to you mentioning getting the second kurishigama and making his own fighting style as well as him being able to use wind to some extent, but then you also gave hope for sealing only to say that while Naruto's a natural at it, they can't really do it because they don't have special chakra paper. Another reason I stuck out this far was because your writing is GOOD, your writing style , dialogue, and interactions between characters is well written and enjoyable without any significant problems, but again just keep this in mind as while I understand some sacrifices had to be made for development, Naruto seems to be the one sacrificing everything.
