This is damn fantastic, you can actually, physically FEEL how uncomfortable this all is and I love it.
You've managed to capture that awkward feeling so well without it being a cringy awkward of "ah god dammit everyone is making an ass of themselves and I wanna die". Seriously, this is awesome. Hope you pick it up again soon! I wanna see all them dirty secrets crawl out of the wood works :D

I'd personally love it if this rose quartz was a separate entity from pink diamond. It be cool to see how she'd react to her counter part and even Steven being a Diamond in this reality.

Interesting chapter

While I've been diligently following this gem of a story on Ao3 for about a little over a year or so, now's the first time I've managed to think of something to say in a review for this story other than short generalities about me being interested in the next chapter and "this mucho goodo."

Though I doubt that things might go this way in the story, with the question of just WHAT and how many divergences does the timeline Rose come from have with the timeline she had shunted herself being brought up and addressed as well as the big reveal that we had from canon last month regarding Rose's identity and how the premise behind this story is that Rose basically ends up in the canon SU timeline WHILE Steven is able to coexist with her, I can't help but feel like the timeline Rose came from might be a little more divergent in nature than just some stuff like Rose not having Steven.

Don't get me wrong, I can tell and say that you guys have done a great job at keeping Pearl and Rose's backstory ambiguous in terms of whether or not she might in actuality be Pink Diamond, but I just keep getting the feeling from those ambiguous parts that, in the timeline she abandoned, Alternate Rose was a separate entity from Pink Diamond rather than one and the same as was revealed in canon, which to me sounds like it would open up quite a fun and interesting can of worms.

I mean, given that the specifics of the differences between the timelines have barely just begun to be explored, there could be a time where it's revealed that Alt Rose remembers a few more battles than the ones she and Steven's Rose have partaken in, or that the unknowingly false origin story Garnet told in My Mother And Yours actually did happen for Alt Rose, and etc, all culminating towards the reveal that, in the timeline Alt Rose had shunted herself into, her counterpart was actually Pink Diamond, something she herself has no recollection of.

Or to summarize my whole review, so far and for some reason, to me, it feels as though Alt Rose came from a non-canon timeline where Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond weren't the same person and fell into a timeline where they are AKA an up-to-date-on-canon timeline. Cue a whole mess of massive emotions, flared tensions, and confusion from both sides as they realize that the Pink Diamond that they knew in their own timelines were massively different than the Pink Diamond of the other's (ESPECIALLY on Pearl's side).

And although I also have the feeling you guys will most likely be doing something else entirely and that you may not necessarily integrate the canon reveal of Rose's identity into this story (let alone only for one of the timelines features) like you guys will be doing in Faded Blue, I know that I will most probably be satisfied with whatever you guys will put out in the future.

Other than that, all I can say is keep up the good work.

Before I read this chapter, I wondered why it would be rated, T. This chapter is probably the only reason. I really liked this chapter keep doing what you're doing Cluster! Some of the parts are really speech heavy but then it countered it with description paragraphs which is hard for some fanfiction to do.
