I know I'm ridiculously late, but I hope you could write both stories. Yes, there's problems with this story, but I at least want finality. I also want to see how you would improve it all.

Excellent story, though I do see one issue: Kurome’s blade can only bring back those who she has killed with the blade, and even then they are little more than puppets blindly loyal to her. They have little in the way of a will of their own. Still, this is an interesting story. I just hope it ends better than the last one. Killing everyone was kind of ridiculous. It made the entire struggle against the king pointless, and killing the nine year old character was a bit much. Anyway, here’s hoping you continue this soon!

I'll explain my reasoning.

Your serie is far from perfect, far from the best I read for certain, but I still like it and enjoy it. But most series have one point in common that is negative. They're not finished. And not finishing something is the best way to tell yourself it's okay to stop mid-project and never give proper closure to it. So first finish this story (if only with a really long chapter narrating the rest of the plot as it would be told in a myth/legend), then you can concentrate properly on the new storyline, improving it along the way, this time in one book.

You've got a big potential, this storyline got an amazing potential. Don't waste by having bad habits.

I'm always open to MP if you want to discuss it further.

Id like to see it all as one book honestly.
