Haha, I like how full of mischief Bucky is. Scaring Scott like that with his arm... very naughty! And the "Captain Obvious" line had me chuckling. Reminded me of Steve's "it seems to run on electricity" gag in Avengers Assemble. The 'sidekick' line is very wry, and one I have similarly written into WWS (waaaay ahead in a future chapter) — it amuses me because in the comics, Bucky actually is Steve's sidekick. Imagining pre-serum Bucky faced with the possibility of one day being his scrawny, asthmatic friend's sidekick really tickles my funny-bone.

I love the Scott/Bucky banter here. In many ways they're alike (Scott has a kid, Bucky basically is a kid) and I'm looking forward to seeing how the next chapter goes.

Something tells me Scott and Bucky are going to get on famously... and Sam might be in for a bit of flack down the track. Liking the dynamics.

Ahh, I love the word 'ruminate.' It's so thoughtful and full of imagery. And having Scott take a look at Bucky's arm? AFAIK, a first. Usually it's Wakandan doctors, IIRC, but Scott is technically an electronics genius, and if I were Bucky, there is nobody else I would want to work on my arm. Nice touch, there. Lang is one of my favourite MCU characters, and in many ways more 'real' than many of the others; he's grounded in real life, has the whole family angle, has been through prison, and divorce, and knows the latter is the worse of the two. I just love the idea of him potentially helping to fix Bucky's arm.

On the other hand, it's a little sad to see Wanda so out of it, and in the role of 'damsel in distress' because I get the feeling that, at her core, she's just as tough (or even tougher than) Natasha. Are you going to be expanding her role any, in the future? I love a good Strong Female Role Model (though I understand if that's outside the scope of this fic).
