I really like the story, but I don't agree with what Kanan says about fear; fear is something you live with and at times control, it's not something you forget. I know Yoda said, "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering", but research has shown that acknowledging your fear is not the same as giving into it. Kanan shows this to Ezra in Season 1 episodes 7 and 8. To not know fear doesn't make you great, it just makes you ignorant.

Otherwise, for your first fiction, this is actually pretty good. Grammar is good, spacing between paragraphs makes good flow in the story, Ezra and Kanan are mostly in character. I love how you put Ezra's youth and childlike needs is empathosed and how Kanan relates to Ezra with his own past. In other words one of the sweetest stories in SWR. Hope to see more from you.
