Lovely fic, Loved the h/c and the the medical inaccuracies about nitrogen bugged me a bit.
Nitrogen (N2) is an inert gas. That means it does not interact with our body's sytems and cells at all. It's just simply there in our blood. Other nitrogen compounds such as nitric oxide (NO) do play an important role in our body, but not the gaseous N2.
Normal air that we breath is around 78% N2, and 21% O2. If we increase the amount of nitrogen in the air, we decrease the amount of oxygen available for us to breath, therefore leading to asphyxiation. Any consequences of excess nitrogen is due to asphyxiation, not directly due to nitrogen it self.
Above is probably nitpicking, but it just bugged me. That aside, great fic!

This was really great, the character voices were really good. I love Jack being with Mac the whole time, helping and staying with Mac every step of the way.

Great story! So many feels. And it just felt so realistic. Mac's increasing confusion and agitation, Jack apologizing while restraining him, Jack knowing where to start an IV on Mac, all those little details really made the story. I hope you write more in this fandom!
