I sighed with relief when Sam drove outside a cabin. He made it in perfect time.
I smiled like a dumb when Sam came back to the hospital for the second time to see Laney and Dean. That was lovely.

Even though you said this isn't one of your favourites, I honestly think it was really good. Glad you decided to post it. Definitely post what you write on the Laney verse, even if you don't think it's the best, I feel like author's are always the harshest critiqers on their own work. Sooooo ya loved it, great job, keep it up :)

Oh wow, I loved this! I love all of your stories, but for some reason this one really spoke to me. I really felt for Sam; the way he snapped back to the life to save his brother and sister, and the way it was so clear how much he loves them, was just perfect. Poor Laney. I love how tough she is in the face of danger, without being reckless for no reason. She knows her brothers are there to lean on, but she doesn't rely on them blindly, leaving herself no options. She knows she can save them when they need it, too.
